BSC MOUTHPIECES
We orient the history of the saxophone and the development of saxophone music from the point of view of culture and technology. Our goal was mouthpieces that can interpret different styles of music from the birth of the saxophone in 1840 until today.
Particularly rapid development of new saxophone playing in the last half of the 20th century was our greatest task. Because it detached from history in Paris and developed a new variety in USA. We wanted to find an answer for 21st century saxophone playing. We are looking for practical performance and education of today, but with respect to history in Paris.
model STANDARD
Model STANDARD is ideal for professional saxophonists and students in the 21st century.
Our music world is extremely diverse in media, but also music schools, wind orchestra, and professional stage and studio. BSC model STANDARD offers an elementary basis for classical education and also variability in very different saxophone music can play musically and acoustically at a high level from classic, jazz, swing, musical to funk & pop.
A formula designed by Tomomi Kato based on the acoustics of classical music education, enables intense resonance on stage and reaches the audience well. Sound finds harmony with other instruments and enriches ensemble sound.
Because French sound tradition differs from international classical music, some saxophonists may be irritated by BSC's new acoustic behavior in small rooms. Try BSC on real concert stage and together with other instruments!

model PRO
Model PRO is an extension of the Model STANDARD for advanced players.
Model PRO offers greater performance in dynamics, presence, power, and projection. Strong players can use maximum force without breaking the sound center apart and leaving strong accents on the stage. Intense sound center can reach distant audiences well even outdoors. On a loud stage, the microphone can pick up the sound from the saxophone well.

model MODERN
Model MODERN is for saxophonists who want to interpret popular hits from the 20th century in their original sound. Model MODERN was designed and technically optimized based on popular mouthpieces from the USA in the 20th century.
The center of the sound is dark. In the FUNKY music, the player emphasizes the outer rim or tip of the tone where sizzling (metallic noises) arise instead of the sound center. Here 2 sound concepts differ as from the BSC model STANDARD. Variation emphasized on the outside offers clouds of sound around player on a small stage or studio, but on the loud large stage there can be problems of being “not heard” without intense sound center.

model CLASSIC
Model CLASSIC is for real classic players and classic schools from the 19th to 20th centuries.
The Sound is dark, covered, smooth, and elegant, a typical French sound ideal from the history of the saxophone. Model CLASSIC was designed and technically developed based on traditional mouthpieces from Paris. Sound unfolds like a fog around players. Emphasis on the sound is somewhat elegant but covered “nu” instead of open “a” like classical music, it reflects the beauty of the French language for example “Nous avon”. The player works with slow air and always keeps dynamic limit within the sound rim, but sensitive articulation in pianissimo is the strength, also reminiscent of French language.
